Aspen Aerogel combines very low thermal conductivity with minimal installed thickness for insulation projects where space, weight and access are limiting factors. The material is up to 80% thinner than conventional insulation systems, hydrophobic while remaining vapour-permeable, and practical to install on straight runs and complex geometries. Product variants cover operating windows from cryogenic service around -50°C up to high-temperature duty at 650°C. Typical applications include petrochemical plants, refineries, steam and process lines, heat exchangers, storage tanks, power generation and offshore assets.
