FireMaster Marine Plus Blanket is a high-performance passive fire protection blanket developed for applications where weight and installation space are critical design constraints. Based on Morgan's patented Superwool low-shot technology, it typically delivers 20% to 30% lower installed weight than traditional fibre insulation systems while maintaining certified fire performance. The blanket is tested and approved for fire protection of steel, aluminium and composite structures in marine and offshore environments, and is also used in petrochemical and industrial projects. Binder-free construction avoids smoke generation from binder burn-off during fire exposure.

Available finishes

In addition to the standard blanket, FireMaster Marine Plus is also available with a factory-applied facing on one side:

• Aluminium-foil facing — scrim-reinforced (Alu 20R, 20 μm) or non-reinforced (Alu 40R, 30 μm). Provides an aesthetic, reflective finish and better handling strength during installation.
• Glass-cloth facing (marine cloth, GC) — white glass cloth on one side, for installations where aluminium is unsuitable or where the blanket has to be painted afterwards.
