Insulfrax® 1300 HT Blanket sits at the upper end of the Insulfrax AES range and is specified where standard 1200°C AES grades no longer carry enough thermal headroom. It is used as primary lining in industrial furnaces and kilns, in fire-protection panels, and as a thermal barrier in processes that see cyclic peaks close to the classification temperature. The needled mat structure is binder- and lubricant-free, which means it holds its shape, tensile strength and flexibility under heat without releasing smoke or fumes. The fibre is an alkaline-earth silicate composition (AES, with SiO₂ at 72–78% and CaO+MgO at 21–27%) and falls under Note Q of European Regulation EC/1272/2008. Mean fibre diameter is approximately 3.6 μm. With a classification temperature of 1300°C and a continuous-use limit of 1200°C, this blanket covers the top end of the bio-soluble AES family.
