Kaowool® Paper
RCF ceramic-fibre paper in 1260°C and 1400°C grades for high-temperature thermal barriers and gaskets
Kaowool® Paper is a thin, knife-cuttable refractory ceramic-fibre paper for applications where build-up height is tight and the material still has to be easy to fabricate. It shows up as gaskets behind manhole covers and burner mounts, as back-up insulation behind sheet-metal liners, in duct and pipe linings, in expansion joints, as fire-stop seal in equipment housings, and as thermal barrier in oven and boiler walls. The paper cuts, die-stamps and bonds with suitable high-temperature adhesives — flexible enough to wrap curved geometries that rigid boards cannot reach. Two grades share the same form factor. The standard 1260°C grade covers the bulk of industrial demand; the high-purity 1400°C HP grade steps in where peak loads or sustained exposure above 1100°C occur. Both grades are aluminosilicate / RCF papers and are not exempt under Note Q — handling follows the European RCF guidelines for dust and skin exposure. Thicknesses sit in the 1–6 mm range, with roll widths and bespoke sizes available on request.
