Superwool Plus Paper

Thin flexible AES insulation paper with Superwool Plus chemistry for thermal barriers and gaskets, classification 1200°C

Superwool Plus Paper is the thin, flexible format chosen wherever build space is constrained and the material still has to be cut, die-stamped, rolled or bonded to fit. Typical roles include thermal barriers behind thin sheet metal, gaskets and seals in burners and combustion chambers, mould insulation in casting, insulating layers inside induction hobs and consumer appliances, fire-rated seals at expansion joints, and heat shields around electric drives or battery packs. The flexible paper conforms to irregular geometries that rigid boards cannot reach.

The substrate is made from alkaline earth silicate (AES) fibres with Superwool Plus chemistry, a low-biopersistence high-temperature wool that meets Note Q of European Regulation EC/1272/2008. It carries a classification temperature of 1200°C with a continuous use temperature up to approx. 1050°C. Typical paper thicknesses range from 1 to 6 mm; roll widths and converting options (cutting, die-stamping, rolling, bonding) make OEM integration straightforward.
