Textile Insulation and Insulating Sleeves
Made-to-measure insulation sleeves & jackets for pipes, valves, flanges & pumps incl. seals and quilted covers.
Textile insulating sleeves are reusable, removable insulation jackets that wrap around a component and close with hook-and-loop, quick-release fasteners or stainless-steel spring clips. That makes them fundamentally different from fixed insulation: at every maintenance interval the sleeve can be opened, the component inspected or replaced, and the same sleeve refitted afterwards. Typical applications are valves, gate and check fittings, flanges, smelter parts, pump bodies, expansion joints and burner heads — anywhere regular access is required and where fixed insulation would otherwise have to be cut away and rebuilt. The savings in process energy, the quick maintenance access and the re-use after service work materially reduce the lifecycle cost of these installations.
The sleeves are typically built in three layers: a heat-resistant outer skin (glass fibre, silicate, ceramic fabric or stainless-steel coated textile), a fibrous fill (RCF, AES or silicate wool) and an abrasion-resistant inner liner or foil. Closure systems use hook-and-loop, snap fasteners or stainless-steel spring clips depending on temperature and how often the unit is opened. Maximum service temperature runs up to 1260°C in the ceramic build. Manufacturing runs from drawing, from photographs or from on-site 3D measurement, so each sleeve fits the local geometry exactly.
